The Strait Superport intends to expand its asset base throughout
the Strait of Canso Port as viable business opportunities arise.
The long-term approach will identify and research opportunities
to stimulate economic growth in the Strait of Canso Port, with
considerable emphasis on public/private partnerships.
Should
the opportunity arise, the Strait of Canso Superport Corporation
is interested in acquiring the Strait of Canso Harbour Bed,
which is currently owned by Transport Canada.
This acquisition
would allow a greater role for the Superport Corporation in
expanding economic activities in the Strait of Canso.
